Dr. Jeffrey J. Joseph
Born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana, Dr. Joseph graduated from the University of New Orleans before receiving his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He is double board- certified in both ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery, specializing in rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, and face and neck lifts. Dr. Joseph resides in Lafayette with his wife, Jennifer. They have three children and recently celebrated the arrival of their first grandchild. With over 30 years of experience and a long-standing commitment to excellence, Dr. Joseph is proud to continue caring for patients throughout Acadiana.
Dr. Jeffrey J. Joseph
As an Acadiana native in practice in Louisiana since 1993, Dr. Jeffrey J. Joseph has deep roots in his community and across the state. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of New Orleans and went on to obtain his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans in 1986. He completed his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at LSU, New Orleans in 1992 and became board certified in 1993. He was then accepted into the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship program, one of only 38 positions in the country. He successfully completed this fellowship under William E. Silver, MD in Atlanta, GA, in 1993 and became board certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1997.
It was during his fellowship that he, along with Dr. Silver, published “Uniform Rhinoplastic Documentation,” which remains relevant today and is often utilized at facial plastic surgery meetings. Dr. Joseph is a frequent lecturer and sought- after educator. Additionally, he has served on numerous national committees with other prominent facial plastic surgeons from across the country. In addition to a career in medicine, Dr. Joseph is also a talented artist, primarily focused on acrylic and oil paintings. His art has graced the cover of the Hospice of Acadiana cookbook, has been featured as a label on a locally based wine, and can be seen in homes, businesses and restaurants throughout Louisiana. His artistic eye and skilled surgical hands set Dr. Joseph apart as he brings his passion for art and beauty to his patients and their results.
In 2003, Dr. Joseph was the only Louisiana facial plastic surgeon included in the book of nationally recognized cosmetic surgeons called “The Beauty Makers.” Dr. Joseph has been selected multiple times by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America® – in the category of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Joseph holds a faculty appointment at LSU-New Orleans in the Department of Otolaryngology- Division of Facial Plastic Surgery and is passionate about education. Dr. Joseph’s practice primarily encompasses facial cosmetic and laser surgery, including rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, face and neck lifts; removal and repair of facial skin cancers; Botox, fillers and collagen stimulators. Charles “Lane” Anzalone Jr.
Board-certified ENT surgeon Charles “Lane” Anzalone Jr., MD, MBA, was born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana. Upon graduating first in his class from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, he received his medical doctorate from the University of Texas at Houston in 2015. During his tenure at the University of Texas, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society, a prestigious distinction amongst the top percentile of medical students.
Charles “Lane” Anzalone Jr.
Board-certified ENT surgeon Charles “Lane” Anzalone Jr., MD, MBA, was born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana. Upon graduating first in his class from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, he received his medical doctorate from the University of Texas at Houston in 2015. During his tenure at the University of Texas, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society, a prestigious distinction amongst the top percentile of medical students. After graduation, Dr. Anzalone was only one of four residents worldwide to be accepted into the ENT residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, which during his training, was recognized as the top ENT department in the United States. He then completed his Masters of Business Administration from the Moody School of Business at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, graduating summa cum laude with a concentration in Finance.
During his time at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Anzalone developed expertise in comprehensive ENT care, including pediatric ENT, allergy and sinus surgery, and thyroid / parathyroid surgical treatment. While at Mayo Clinic, he authored several peer-reviewed articles in ENT that gained him recognition within the international medical community. He was voted top resident teacher by his peers, and was awarded a large medical grant by the United States Department of Defense for his work with veterans. He was also presented with the Mayo Clinic Karis Award, a high honor among a small number of medical professionals for exemplifying the Franciscan values of integrity, compassion, and stewardship in his care for every patient.
During his general ENT training, Dr. Anzalone also recognized a void in the subspeciality of ear and hearing care in the Acadiana region and opted to pursue further fellowship training in Otology/Neurotology with world-renowned ear specialist John L. Dornhoffer, M.D., at the University of Arkansas. Along with general ENT, his area of expertise is in Otology as a comprehensive ear specialist, specializing in treating pediatric and adult patients with chronic ear infections, hearing loss, and cochlear implantation. With a unique skill set ranging from ear tubes to more advanced surgical techniques, Dr. Anzalone is one of only a few fellowship-trained ear surgeons in Louisiana and the only one in the Acadiana region. He is currently welcoming patients at both our Lafayette and Crowley locations.
After several years of traveling across the country, from studying medicine in Houston to his fellowship training at the University of Arkansas, Dr. Anzalone has finally come home to Acadiana! He and his wife, Mary Gayle have returned to the Lafayette area with their five children. When he isn’t busy helping patients, he enjoys watching LSU football, outdoor activities, and spending time with his family.
